An unlikely scenario: the whole of Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar performed by one woman accompanied by a single piano. Even more unlikely when that woman is Peaches, the electro-rock provocateuse who has made sexual frankness her calling-card.
Yet this is no irreverent mash-up, of either the score or the story it tells. Since it was first performed at HAU theater, Berlin in 2010, Peaches Christ Superstar has been invited to an array of prestgious arts festivals around the world including Dublin fringe, Brighton Festival, Queen Elizabeth Hall for Meltdown festival in London, Every Body’s spectacular in Reykjavik Iceland, MONAFOMA festival in Tasmania, a tour in US and Canada and to cap it off this epic show was part of the Munich Kammerspiele repetoire in 2015/2016
